Picture this: it's a Sunday night after a weekend of going out, you're exhausted, a terrible case of the sunday scaries, and on top of it all you lost your credit card at the bar. Anyone? Nope, just me? Alright, well in that case i'll show you what I make on a day like this.
First off, let's list the constraints.
No credit card. That means we'll have to find a way to make do with whatever the fuck we've got left in our pantry.
You're exhausted. Okay, lets keep it to very few ingredients and something quick, why don't we say... 15 minutes to make.
Your kitchen is a disaster after the tequila shots you thought were a great idea when you got home from the bar. Also, just me? Ok. Either way, let's keep the cleanup to a minimum.
Okay, I hate reading recipes so I'm going to try this out. And no, it's not just because I'm lazy but I think this will help you (and me in the process). I'm going to write out 5 sentences for you to read, a MLA paragraph if you will. The expectation is for you to read this paragraph and not have to look at this blog again until you write a raving review about how good this Poor Man's Pasta is:
Ingredients: Pasta, Olive Oil, Garlic, Canned Clams, White Wine, Lemon, a green thing (think spinach or parsley or whatever you've got), and some shrimpies. First, begin cooking some pasta al dente (I prefer Barillas protein spaghetti but use whatever your heart desires). In a pan put a good amount of olive oil, minced garlic (fresh or in the bottle up2u), shrimp and some onions if you got it. Once your shrimp has cooked add the white wine & let it chill for abit. Then add the clams and lemon juice and you've got yourself a sauce. Throw the spinach and whatever green things you've got into the pan and serve. (:
